Friday 5th June - Sunday 7th June 2015

Kildress Parish Church, Cookstown

Flower Festival

Kildress Parish Church, located 4 miles along the main A505 Cookstown to Omagh Road, is hosting a Flower Festival during the first weekend in June.
Built upon a rock almost 200 years ago, Kildress Parish Church sits amongst the beautiful rural landscape of Co. Tyrone, with a backdrop of the Sperrin Mountains.
Hence the theme of the forthcoming Flower Festival “The Rock” comes as no surprise and floral interpretations of many of the references to “The Rock” in Scripture will be depicted. Celebrating the beauty of flowers will form part of the closing Service which will be held on Sunday evening at 7pm. There will be other attractions during the weekend including a toy model display and
a Digger Bucket Challenge on Saturday from 2pm whilst on Sunday afternoon there will be a display of Classic MG cars.
Why not plan a day trip to the Kildress Flower Festival and incorporate a tour of the National Trust’s Wellbrook Beetling Mill,
the beautiful gardens and lakes at Drum Manor Forest Park (previously the demense of the Richardson family) and for those who like some retail therapy - Cookstown – the retail capital of Mid Ulster with its Saturday street market dating back to the 17th Century.
All of these attractions are within 10 minutes of Kildress.
Tea, Coffee, Lunch and High Tea will be served throughout the weekend to which individuals, families and larger parties are all cordially invited to avail of. You will be assured of delicious food and a warm welcome at Kildress. Remember to mark 5th – 7th June in your diary now and visit the Church built upon “The Rock”.
