Congratulations to two Scouts from Derryloran Parish who attended the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea
along with some 50,000 scouts from across the world... What an honour for them and Derryloran!

Sunday 28th May 2023, Pentecost Sunday, was a special Sunday for the grouped parishes of Tynan, Aghavilly and Middletown. We welcomed our friend, Linda Abwa, CMSI Partnership Coordinator for our link with the Bukavu Diocese in DR Congo.
Linda spoke at each of our services about how Bishop Elisha and his church are caring for children whose parents have been killed and have no family to look after them. The church needs help to buy extra mattresses for the children to sleep on, food to give to the people who are looking after them and money to pay their school fees and buy their uniforms.
After distributing the Sunday school prizes at each of our services, Linda was presented with cheques for these needy children. The Children’s Day service in Aghavilly was followed by a church BBQ which was enjoyed by all.
A big thank you to all our Sunday school teachers for their dedication and hard work during the year.

Mrs Kathleen Keys, who has turned 95.

Congratulations to Gareth McDowell and Billy Acheson who had the privilege of attending the Gold Award Celebration at Buckingham Palace on 15th May 2023 at which they received their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
