Mrs Florence Hoey has been appointed by the Archbishop as Cathedral Reader in St Patrick’s Cathedral Armagh from 1 January 2017 in succession to Mrs Betty Beamish who has recently retired.
Florence has previously served for many years as Parish Reader in the Parochial Group of Camlough and Mullaglass where her husband former Archdeacon of Armagh Raymond Hoey was Rector.
Mothers’ Union is also one of Florence’s great interests.
She served from 2010 until 2013 as Armagh Diocesan President.
